Hackathon is over!

AlgoTrade is a joint project of the Computer Science Student Club at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (X.FER) and the Financial Club (FK), aimed to combine IT and trading to form compelling and educational challenges. Our aim is to bring together the best students in Europe, providing them with opportunities to enhance their knowledge and advance in the field. AlgoTrade will consist of two parts: four lectures and the hackathon.

FINANCIAL CLUB

The student association known as the Financial Club was founded in 2005 at the Faculty of Economics, University of Zagreb. The Club's main activity is to expand and enhance the knowledge of its members in the field of finance through social gatherings, workshops, and various other educational activities. The Financial Club brings together students from different higher education institutions in Zagreb, including the Faculty of Economics (EFZG), the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER), high schools, and higher business schools (RIT, VERN, ZŠEM, LIBERTAS), as well as the Faculty of Science (PMF).

The mission of the Financial Club is to provide additional education by acquiring theoretical and practical knowledge, experiences, and skills, with the goal of improving financial literacy among its members.

X.FER

X.FER is a student association at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, established with the aim of conducting 'Competitive Programming' skills at FER. Participants familiarize themselves with the practical application of algorithms in solving complex problems and learn techniques to optimize their programming solutions. Annual programming competitions offer students the opportunity to demonstrate the skills and competencies they have acquired. The club's membership includes former competitors and Olympians, and currently, the association has around ten active members and more than fifty honorary members.

Our mission is to provide structured education in the field of algorithms to participants and prepare them for programming interviews. We bring together the best students into an open community where members exchange competitive and business experiences to achieve individual and collective growth and progress.
